The work was probably first published in 1904 in the Augsburg Guitar Club�s Freie Vereinigung f�r das F�rderung guter Guitaremusik Jahrgang No.1, Heft II. The �printer�s copy is virtually identical to the printed version. In the footnote of the first page an editor suggests that, �Duo No. 2 can be used as a continuation and companion piece to Duo No.1, as a second movement in a performance.� Of particular interest are mm. 10-15 which uses a dotted-quarter note and eighth note rhythm over a pad of rolling triplets in the accompaniment in mm. 10-15. Also, the last two measures are quite an unusual effect.
