It’s an unusual combination of instruments, and care has to be taken to avoid the flute bieng drowned out by the trombone. It has been written in B flat for the convenience of the trombone, though it’s also available in A for flute and cello - see "Dreaming - for flute and trombone (cello)". Do listen to the mp3 file. The trombone on the recording is synthesised, but the flute is real, and it gives a much better idea of how it would sound live.
