The hymn "Crown him with many crowns" was written by Matthew Bridges (1800-1894), appearing in his collection "Hymns of the Heart" (1848). Sir George Elvey (1816-1893) wrote the tune "Diademata" especially for these words. This is an arrangement for the last verse of the hymn. The organ part has been reharmonised and two descants have been added to the music. These may be sung individually or together.
