It is actually for the Yamaha XG soundset, but the version here has been converted to General MIDI and the score has been cleaned up a bit. Please listen to the MP3 for the intended sound.
The entire piece is a so-called "atmospheric" mood, intended to be background music. It is roughly divided into two: The first section is magical and beautiful (drawing on some content from my previous works), and the second section is fierce and dramatic. In fact, the second section is almost a direct combination of two pieces I had previously composed. Note that the last few bars do not yield an ending; in the game, the music will loop. Thus, the "ending" merely serves to loop back to the beginning.
I am releasing this piece to this website primarily because it shows how far I've succeeded in composing. My first few pieces (sorry I won't post them here) were written as background game music and when I compare them I really see how much I have improved.
