Justin Soutar
United States of America
Born and raised in California, I now live in Virginia's Shenandoah Valley. I'm the Director of Music at Saint Patrick Catholic Church in Lexington, Virginia, U.S.A. and a professional pianist, organist, composer, arranger, recording artist, and classical music afficionado. I enjoy writing keyboard and choral arrangements of traditional hymns, especially Catholic and Christmas hymns; I also occasionally write original compositions, both sacred and secular. My first solo piano album, "Selections from The St. Michael Hymnal," was released in 2013. In my spare time I enjoy listening to Bach, Beethoven, Brahms, Chopin, Debussy, Dvorak, Handel, Mendelssohn, Mozart, Rachmaninoff, Schubert, Strauss, Tchaikovsky, and other great classical composers.
I am also a Catholic author and blogger specializing in faith, liturgy, creation, politics, and current issues. I have written two books, "America's Back-Door Enemy" (Tate Publishing, 2009) and "My Christmas with Mother Teresa" (yet to be published). More than 100 of my articles have appeared in a variety of print and digital publications such as Catholic Online, Catholic365, Inside the Vatican, OpEdNews.com, and EzineArticles.com.
