The hymn-tune "Yorkshire" is commonly associated with the Christmas words "Christians, awake! salute the happy morn". It has been used (in "Common Praise" no.181) for the Pentecost hymn "Eternal Ruler of the ceaseless round". Perhaps the martial words ("heavenly armour", "trusty shield") will suit the trumpet parts that I wrote originally for "Christians, awake!" Parts are included for trumpet in Bb and trumpet in C.
