The Christmas hymn-tune "Yorkshire" is sometimes called "Stockport" after the town where the composer John Wainwright lived and died, and where it was first sung on Christmas Day in 1750. This arrangement has a vocal descant and uses two trumpets (parts for Bb and C trumpet are included). The New English Hymnal has different words for the last verse of "Christians, awake". There is a separate file for this, available in "Related Scores". Also in "Related Scores" are two other Christmas hymns which I have arranged with trumpets: Iris ("Angels from the realms of glory") and Antioch ("Joy to the world").
