The cuticle moon holds hover in a wintral midnight sky, The blueness dark, all a-shimmer as frost upon the rhyme. This piece shimmers with the bitter cold is is meant to portray. I rewrote this during the hard winter of 2009-2010 in temperatures plummeting as low as minus 19C while I was snowed into my rented bungalow in Yorkshire with food stocks running out with no possibility of a delivery until the weather conditions eased. I originally wrote it in 1the equally hard winter of 1982 when temperatures plummeted as low as minus 25C hence the wintry imagery.
