You are purchasing high quality sheet music PDF files suitable for printing or viewing on digital devices.Scored for a piano, solo Tenor, solo Bass, and a small chorus, it is quite straight forward to mount for entertainment. If youre a singer, a pianist, or a small choir, you might enjoy this one. Based on a sharp little verse by English writer, journalist and poet Christopher John Gallagher, who penned it for me on a page from my sketchbook in the Punch Bowl Inn in Stonegate, York, in response to a news article of a foreign English Language student who was tried for stealing from a department store, fined and deported. I quickly turned the metre of the syllables into a song which was to be another piece of work along with the Cantata for chorus I wrote in 1985 (EvenSong) to feature in the York Festival of 1987.
