You are purchasing high quality sheet music PDF files suitable for printing or viewing on digital devices. This is a piece which I dedicate to my family: My mother Irina Ginzburg, my father Alexander Zhurbin, my grandmother Ada Zhurbin, and my late grandparents Lev Ginzburg, Bibisa Dik-Kirkillo and Boris Gandelsman. / I wanted to write a very nostalgic, Russian-sounding waltz, something that would've been played by a "promenade orchestra" on the boardwalk in Odessa (a Ukranian city by the Black Sea), during the 40s (i.e. World War II). The piece is notated in 3/8 because I felt it was important to show "construction" via group beamings, which you can't do with quarternotes.
