This piece is a good example of the kind of frustration that I experience as a composer - having to commit myself to a decision with a musical idea when the possibilities of development and/or variations are endless. I suppose in many ways this piece is really the sister waltz of Valse Sentimentale, in that similar themes are contain herein, yet handled in different ways. A piece like this allows me to continue the saga, so to speak.
