You are purchasing high quality sheet music PDF files suitable for printing or viewing on digital devices. This piece was first performed by Adam Swain and Terence Allbright at Chichester University Chapel on 22/10/10. Shortly after this performance I revised the second and third movements. This is that revised version.
The first movement starts full of energy but eventually the energy is spend and the movement ends on a cadence of calm. Whilst the first movement is very chromatic the second movement, by contrast, is more diatonic in nature. Throughout the third movement there is a constant play between the tonic being E or E flat. At the end it is E flat that prevails.
