The Roke is an old Scots folk tune whose origin is unclear; as are the reasons for which it has become associated with the town of Linlithgow in Scotland. But it has, and is played by the Linlithgow Reed Band as part of the Marches Day procession in the town which takes place on the first Tuesday after the second Thursday in June every year.
