It was scored specially for the Mighty Special Music Makers, which you can read about at www.msmm.org/ This unique ensemble in Bethesda, Maryland, conducted by Paula Moore, consists of mentally impaired and non-impaired musicians. The ensemble plays a wide repertoire of music including classical, jazz, Broadway, folk, and light. All band members learn to play professional percussion, tonal instruments, and a collection of folk instruments from around the world. (Note: A second synthesizer can substitute for the vibraphone.)
