Playing duets with a friend or teacher is an excellent way to improve your performance skills. Here we have an abridged version of ‘Autumn (Mov.1)’ from Vivaldi’s famous ‘The Four Seasons’ suite, arranged for two flutes. A little challenging perhaps but instantly recognisable and enjoyable to play.
Suitable for intermediate players and above - no fiendishly difficult bits - the main points to watch out for are the occasional time signature changes between 2/4 and 4/4 and the tempo changes Allegro and Largo (bars 54 and 71).
