Street Mime was composed in April of 1980 as an educational piece for pianists. It is part of a
collection of works intended to introduce twentieth century writing techniques and
non-traditional scales. The scale used in this work, the hungarian minor scale, is stated at the
end of the score to assist you in teaching this piece or for personal study. It is a work that
contains enjoyable elements for the intermediate to advanced player. For those interested
in giving a public performance of the work, the balanced form seems to allow for wider audience
appeal. Thank you for your interest in Street Mime. I hope you will return to view more of my
compositions on this site.
