This string orchestra / string ensemble arrangement of Silent Night was written to motivate the beginning string student to practice. The beginning students can play the easy 3rd and 4th parts while the more advanced students can play the 1st and 2nd parts. Group the parts based on available instrumentation and the playing ability of each student. As an ensemble, Silent Night can be played as a string quartet, ensembles of like instruments - violin, viola, cello, double bass - or with any combination of string instruments.
