Each year when teaching instrumental music in a school environment, you have a different number of students with various instrumentation and levels of playing ability. With this string orchestra / string ensemble piece, you can group the parts based on available instrumentation and the playing ability of each student. As an ensemble, Golden can be played as a string quintet, ensembles of like instruments - violin, viola, cello - or with any combination of string instruments.
