Ricordi Del Contrabbando is a series of binary or ternary form sonatas for solo guitar depicting various Mediterranean ports in the great 20th century era (c. 1960-1980) of smuggling cigarettes and whiskey between Italy and the Black Sea. This sonata, written in Pentatonic and Lydian chromatic modes, refers to the port of Preveza, a town in Amvrakikos Gulf in Epirus.
