You are purchasing high quality sheet music PDF files suitable for printing or viewing on digital devices."Revelry On the Border" is the second solo classical piece and third movement from "Kitty In the Meadow, Piggy In the Forest" Suite, NOT to be confused with any of my other sinister series, that pay tribute to Fiends (not friends) and other horrible beasts of the night and to the marvelous influences, much to many's dismay and chagrin, they have had on my person and on my composing.
"Revelry On the Border" is an explosion of exuberant overtures and festivities! It is the consummation of the Kitty and Piggy's love - a colliding of two worlds, the meadow and the forest, the Kitty and the Piggy. The utter outpouring of anguish from the previous movement, Piggy's Lament, is finally resolved and his despair at being lost in the dark forest while fighting the desperate existential fear that the Kitty, his Kitty, is missing from his life - is finally over…
Don't ask silly questions. No one knows who Kitty and Piggy are and moreover no one really cares.
The piece is a juxtaposition of two iterations of the theme, a diatonic and a chromatic one. There are forays into D minor and synthetic Hungarian scales, but the piece is firmly in D major. Yeh, you know how all cats and pigs are of Eastern European descent, right?
The "Kitty In the Meadow, Piggy In the Forest" pieces share oodles thematic material. C'mon! It's a freakin' Suite! I sincerely hope that you enjoy this piece as well as the other movements from this work.
