"Piggy's Lament" is the first solo classical piece and second movement from "Kitty In the Meadow, Piggy In the Forest" Suite, NOT to be confused with any of my other sinister series, that pay tribute to Fiends (not friends) and other horrible beasts of the night and to the marvelous influences, much to many's dismay and chagrin, they have had on my person and my composing.

"Piggy's Lament" is an outpouring of anguish illustrating the Piggy's despair at being lost in the dark forest while fighting the desperate existential fear that the Kitty, his Kitty, is missing from his life.

Don't ask silly questions. No one knows who Kitty and Piggy are and moreover no one really cares.

The piece is firmly is B minor though it sports a healthy dose of chromaticism. There are also brief forays into D major and D minor.

At measure 68 there is a canon at the 7th which helps the piece grind down to heap of cosmic misery for all to enjoy. On the bright side, this portion of music will take many hours of grueling practice to separate the voices and shape into a viable musical offering.

The "Kitty In the Meadow, Piggy In the Forest" pieces share oodles thematic material. C'mon! It's a freakin' Suite! I sincerely hope that you enjoy this piece as well as the other movements from this work.
