Like both "Love’s Longing" and "At Close of Day" (also at this site), "Reminiscence" resides stylistically ca. 1900-1920, within the area between the conservative academic and the popular, a niche that was quite prominent at that time, especially in the English-speaking world.
I have tried to balance the somewhat demanding character of the bowed string parts (especially the syncopes in the inner voices, which must be precisely coordinated) with a harp part that a harpist with a reasonable degree of expertise should be able to perform without huge difficulty, although the duplet-against-triplet rhythm in the return of the A-section might be somewhat challenging. Pedal changes are minimal.
