You are purchasing high quality sheet music PDF files suitable for printing or viewing on digital devices. This is the third movement of the Quintet for oboe, harp and string trio worked out as a remodelling of the Sonata for Violin and Harp (2000) (pub. Salvi). The challenge in this movement was to devise suitable textures in place of the cadenza-like passages fro solo vioin. As with the other two movements the piece is based on a metrical conceit (expanding and contracting passages in proportion to each other, to the movement and to the work as a whole). It is virtually impossible not to write in a diatonic language when writing for harp such that the music is joyfully tonal wherever required. The same with idiomatic harp technique. The tempo should not be too Allegro - not 'pell-mell'. As usual, a MIDI realization is appended. All broadcast and recording rights are reserved. Instrumental parts can be provided on request.
