"St Clement" (sung to the words "The day thou gavest, Lord, is ended") is one of the favourite hymns of John Scott, to whom this Prelude is dedicated. John presides over the magnificent Letourneau organ in St Matthew's Church, Albury, Australia. Registration for this piece is left to the organist - any chorale prelude setup with two contrasted yet well-balanced manuals should work nicely.
