A fun piece to play at Christmas time, written in a mock serious baroque style. Starting with a prelude in the manner of Bach's well known "Jesu Joy of Mans' Desiring" using the "Coventry Carol" as the chorale the fugue follows in a Handelian style based on "Good King Wenceslas".

It can be played either as a cello quartet or as a cello ensemble.
