These responses were originally composed to a commission for a setting of the 1992 English Language Office of the Church-in-Wales. They were adapted in 2001 for the words of the 1662 BCP. When they were sung at Llandaff Cathedral, the new dean refused to allow them to be sung to the BCP words and, in an hour or so, I had re-compose them again for the Church-in-Wales English Language rite! Both Welsh rite versions are available on request.
