This simple percussion ensemble was taught (by route) in 4, 30 minute rehearsals to 3rd-5th graders attending First United Methodist Church's 2005 vacation bible school, "Under Construction". We had borrowed all kinds of percussion/construction equipment including crobars, screwdrivers, sticks of wood, hammers, trash cans, and a big long suspended board with hex lag screws screwed into it. This is a study in sycopation and layering. The kids really dug it and really learned a lot about rhythm and teamwork. This piece will not sound correct if played through Scortch. I was not able to assign the correct instruments to the parts.
