Nimrodia was a frequent timid visitor to our yard, a feral cat that my mother had fed for many years before going into sheltered accomodation and never quite succeeded in taming. We kept up the tradition in hopes of socialising her so she could live indoors in her twilight years. Just when it seemed we might be getting somewhere, she succombed to old age. This piece was written to celebrate her personality.
