This powerful piece by Teigan gets its strength from a good use of rests and a clever choice of dynamics. The first line is full of strong ideas, then the second line is even more dramatic! Teigan has chosen short phrases punctuated by crotchet rests combined with a "forte" marking which makes it even louder. The repeated B to G interval of a major third also captures the attention, becoming more alarming with each repetition. :)
