Lovat was defeated at Culloden and convicted of treason against the British and was beheaded, on Tower Hill, the last person to be so in Britain. ( www.annongul.i12.com/page_11.htm ).
In this arrangement of this old traditional Reel or Hornpipe written by David Fraser for the Great Highland Bagpipes I have added a string orchestra to create a mood for this piece.
