The list goes on. We fear that the very fabric of civilization is breaking apart and our planet is dying.
Can we find hope that our children and grandchildren will build a better place?
Lamentation for Tomorrow grew out of this question. Though sombre in mood, the dissonances and awkward harmonies do resolve and find a ray of light and hope.
This work appears to be relatively easy but requires extreme care to play well. The dissonances need very accurate tuning, and the dynamics require considerable control to form the phrases. Balance between instruments is critical. The tempo must not be rushed.
If well played, this could be a very moving work.
