This is one of those songs which, on paper, looks more complicated than it is in practice. MDs should conduct two beats in a bar until a few bars from the end when beating quavers is more appropriate to achieve a uniform rallentando. The cross rhythms created by having 3 crotchets in a bar (in several places) are not difficult to achieve. Once the choir has heard and understood what it's supposed to sound like they take to it with no difficulty at all. The humorous, tongue-in-cheek words are a delight, making this relatively short number a lot of fun.
