A virtuosic showcase for your star Alto Saxophonist, transcribed from the original for solo violin. The band parts are not too difficult. The key has been changed and the solo part adapted to accommodate the more limited range of the saxophone and the need to take occasional breaths! There is one top 'A' and a 'G#' (with alternatives given) and an F# key would be most useful, but otherwise the solo part is dramatic but very playable.
The MP3 file is synthesized but my best VST Alto Sax sound is rather horrid. I will record a live version as soon as I have the opportunity - and have done a little practice!
(There is also a version for Solo Clarinet and Wind Band, but the parts are not interchangeable)
