My then violin Teacher Stefan Mather critiqued the arrangement and gave me some tips for writing for strings eg:- pizzicato, phrasing, ornaments.and score editing help.
Donald Morris also suggested I listen to some wind music to give me some ideas on arrangement.
I have written a cadenza based on the hymn 'Now Thank we all our God' which will further emphasise our thankfulness to God for His blessings and answered prayer.
Lucy Melvin and the String Quartet from Kingsdale Foundation School performed this for the first time on February 10th 2018; they enjoyed the first 16 bars so much that I found a way to include it at the end. Lucy suggested I harmonise the cadenza as well.
It was performed again in June 2018 at Rye Lane Chapel and this can be seen on Youtube on my wateriiwine channel.
