It was because I have seen in my life that we don’t know where we will end up and who we will be rubbing shoulders with despite all our best made plans. As we plan, God is rubbing out and planning and his ways are wiser than ours. I know this to be true. I also know He is the only one who knows how it’s gonna work out so its pointless banging my head against the wall. Instead I need, we need to pray that we will hear God’s voice and sense the Holy Spirit’s leading and revel in the love and protection and sacrifice of Jesus Christ for me.
I received final confirmation of my post graduate teaching qualifications as I started work at Adamsrlll Primary School in Sydenham in September 2013. Over the moon, I reminisced how I got to Adamsrill in the first place, through Martin Sweet of Spinnaker Trust, where I did fortnightly Christian Assemblies to key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. I remembered the kindness of Vickie Forbes, the then head teacher who welcomed me in to teach music there. One Full Circle!
This brings me to my latest Full Circle - in 2007 on a trip to the West End with my children, my daughter talked me into going into the Apple store at Regent Street to have a look around. She was just about to switch to a BTech Music course at Kingston College. I had never been into an Apple store and walked around wondering why the people seemed to be so engaged on the computers. She talked me into using my credit card to purchase an Apple desk top computer for her to the tune of £1000 - more than I had ever spent on my credit card at one go. Fast forward 12 years - my daughter is now what they call at Apple a Lead in that store. Did we ever envisage this time of events? That she would even work for this company? Her plan was to make music with this computer ( which, by the way, we still have, more as a keepsake). God’s plan was to, is to….well He hasn’t finished yet has He… so we need to hold on to and pray and keep sharing that since Jesus came into our lives we have a deep joy and a deep hope. The hymn - 'Since Jesus came into my life' is in the public domain.
