This is the final arrangement in my project of 9 Christmas arrangements for jazz trio. This song "Cradle Hymn" is also known as "Away in a Manger" but is the least known of the three main versions. Best known is the Murray version followed by the Kirkpatrick version. This arrangement isn't nearly as jazzy as the rest but more subdued in order to add needed variety to this collection. Richard Clark wrote out and played the drum parts for all nine of these arrangements and I'd like to thank him profusely for doing so. When we play gigs together he's lightning quick in response to ideas I play on the piano and always makes any band engagement an enjoyable experience. After the first trio gig we ever played together I told him "This is too easy!"
