Cleopatra at the Wok? Just what I visualised when I listened to this music play back for the first time. I was experimenting with rags and irregular rhythms when I composed this piece. I have changed the scoring to adapt it for saxophone group, guitars and percussion. The mellotron could be substituted by regular synth or by an actual vocal choir if preferred. Alternatively it can be omitted as the tenor and baritone sax parts double it. I do enjoy the sound of mellotron choir as a child of the seventies (Moonchild perhaps?) Anyway this should be a fun piece for jazz groups who enjoy the sound of the exotic.
