Prelude from Te Deum was composed by Marc-Antoine Charpentier. It is the opening piece to Te Deum which was composed in about 1692. It is often played with trumpet and organ and is popular at weddings. It has also been used as the signature tune for the Eurovision Song Contest! Some people think it might have been written in celebration of a special occasion, such as the French victory in the battle of Steinkerque in August, 1692. This is an arrangement for training orchestra, with an opportunity for solos/duets in the first section. As usual, please get in touch if you have use for it, or would like it tweaked for your purpose.
