Bow Ye Low is a medley of three Shaker spirituals; BOW YE LOW SAITH THE LORD JEHOVAH, NEVER SOAR ON MOUNTAINS HIGH, and, THE WILLOW & THE OAK. All three spirituals speak of the Shaker desire to obtain true humility. The march-like quality of this arrangement reflects the dance style of the Shakers. This piece will have you tapping your toes. Appropriate for a concert setting or a worship service. Written for SATB A’Capella Choir. Piano reduction is included in the score.
