Mozart composed the religious solo motet "Exsultate, Jubilate" (K. 165) while visiting Milan in 1773. He made slight revisions around 1780. The motet is divided into three parts: 1. Allegro - Recitative; 2. Andante; 3. Allegro. The final allegro section is the "Alleluia," usually sung by a Soprano. In this arrangement, the voice part is interpreted for Violin.
