Stephano, Caliban and Trinculo are fairly harmless scoundrels in Shakespeare's play "The Tempest" and this piece is from the incidental music I wrote for a production of that play. In this scene they are planning various things whilst under the influence; Ariel makes a brief appearance at the end of the piece. The sax part is fairly straightforward, and the piece should be played in a way that is not too serious. The complete suite comprises 5 pieces.
