Piers Maxim was a chorister at St Paul's Cathedral under the legendary director, Dr Barry Rose. His music was first published while still at school by Oecumuse. Now published by the Royal School of Church Music and Fullscore Music, Piers has written large scale works, such as the oratorio 'The Musket Ball' (Greenwich 2016) and 'A Festival Anthem - De Profundis' (Malvern 2018) as well as numerous smaller anthems, canticles and carols. An organist since his school days, he also writes works for this instrument, and his 'Malvern Suite No.1' is published by RSCM. Commissions include 'Blue-remembered Hills' for a Thanksgiving Service in Winchester Cathedral (National Children's' Home), 'The Musket Ball' and 'Our Revels now are Ended' (Dorking Choral Society).
