Philip Howie

My first instrument is the flute, though I also play piccolo, recorder, piano/keyboard and percussion/drums and sing bass.

I am currently working towards a PhD in Materials Science at Christ's College, Cambridge. As a musician I am active in a number of Cambridge-based orchestras and groups as a flautist, percussionist, pianist and singer. I am Musical Director of the University of Cambridge Concert Band, and recently had one of my compositions performed by them.

I am always interested to know what people think of my compositions, so please let me know if you download and use a piece, or even if you only listen, or write a review. Comments, criticism and praise are all welcomed!
