Born London 1947. BMus (1st), MMus from UCNW, Bangor, North Wales 1976, 1977 respectively. Composition mentors William Mathias, Jeffrey Lewis. Commissioned to write a String Quartet with Soprano (The Closing of Autumn) for the 1980 Radcliffe Music Award. Performed at Hull University and the Wigmore Hall (London) by the Allegri String Quartet with Mary King.
Other notable performances include "Arabesque" (10 instruments) at the Bath Festival 1989 (Lontano conducted by Odaline de la Martinez), "Crystal" for Trombone and Percussion at the Melba Hall, Melbourne 1989 (Barrie Webb and Elizabeth Davis), "Five Pictures" (12 instruments) at the Huddersfield Festival 1988 (Firebird Ensemble conducted by Barrie Webb), "Ten Pieces" for solo piano (York 1993, Andrew Ball).
