The premises of the piece is based on the Peruvian "Festejo" and "Land�" rhythms. Both of these are ver challenging for beginning percussionists to perform which is why I have denominated this piece as being one of a professional level.
The piece may sound strange, but that is because of the chord changes I have chosen for this composition: (I | iv | v | iii | I). I appreciate any comments on it, especially since for me this is a learning experience (composing). The thematic sections may be opened up for extended improvised solos.
