The 4 short movements are Fanfare, Sorrow, A Bit oF Fun, Another Fanfare. The first movement sets diatonic against chromatic in various instrumental groupings. The second is slow and sad, the third quick and cheerful and the final movement sets carefree against serious. The quintet is suitable for good amateurs and has had two public performances by the London Chamber Group in London.
