You are purchasing high quality sheet music PDF files suitable for printing or viewing on digital devices.Written in March of last year (2007) after a particularly troubling winter. Starting to be pushed to despair, I started reading some psalms and landed on #42 and 43. Everyone always remembers v. 1 and "As the deer." The question in v. 2, however, resonated more. Writing this simple piece had a cathartic effect. There purposely is no dynamics or articulations, only the phrases at various spots. Each person experiences despair and release in different ways. Thus, I allow the performers flexibility in interpretation.
