This whole tone sequence only has one extension. Here the pinky finger skips the 4th fret and stretches to the 5th fret. An extension is when you skip a fret with a finger. A whole tone is a 3 fret span. Three notes are played on every string in sequence. This pattern is moveable and should be played in 5th position to start out. When your fingers get stronger try moving it to first position.
