A curiosity which may amuse or intrigue some people, and is here on Sibeliusmusic for a couple of weeks to invite comment. Towards the end of 2006 a group of local musicians decided to each write one minute's worth of music, with some connection between the contributions, to create music for a collaboration with experimental film-makers. (In previous ventures the film has preceded the music and we thought we'd reverse the process.) This contribution builds on the first 3 bars of a piece by Bruno Guastalla and is designed to slot in anywhere, perhaps accompanying an image which changes subtly but does not further the action. The instrumentalists were people prepared to give up some time to practise this!
