I reinterpreted two German Christmas carols as waltzes, added to them the appropriate accompaniment and fused them together by means of a modulatory tract and later changed the first of them into a minor tune. This waltz is dedicated to the Mexican harpist Ángel Padilla Crespo, who lived in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, and died under tragic circumstances in 2017.
